Ioulia Papageorgi is a Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Nicosia and Associate Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has the titles Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). She was the Convenor of the Board of Educational Affairs of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA) until 2025. Additionally, she serves on the Cyprus National Bioethics Committee (President of the Review Bioethics Committee for Biomedical Research). Her research interests focus on music performance anxiety, the development of expertise, the association between music training, cognitive and socioemotional development, psychometric testing, and teaching and learning in psychology.
