It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 20th European Congress of Psychology.
For our organization, the concept of ECP 2027 represents more than just an opportunity to showcase our scientific and professional achievements. It serves as a fusion of ideas, perspectives, and experiences—a space where psychology, as both a science and a profession, can demonstrate its relevance, responsibility, and transformative potential. Together, we can learn from one another, strengthen our collective knowledge, and advance practices that promote human dignity and well-being.
At the same time, we gather amid profound global and local challenges. Globally, we are witnessing increasing tensions between rapid technological advancements and human values. In this context, ECP 2027 invites us to reflect on a central and urgent question: How can psychology help us navigate the challenges posed by advancing technology and its impact on humanity?
The challenges before us are complex, and we cannot address them alone. Together, across cultures and perspectives, we can actively promote a democratic, inclusive, and compassionate society. Participants of ECP 2027 are called upon to understand these profound transformations through the lens of psychology, respond with clarity and responsibility, and strengthen our collective voice.
The selection of Belgrade as the host city for ECP 2027 perfectly aligns with the theme of this jubilee congress. Belgrade is more than just a destination; it is a vibrant crossroads of East and West, where history and modern life seamlessly intertwine. Here, centuries of diverse cultural influences are not preserved behind glass—they live on in the streets, the architecture, the conversations, and the rhythm of everyday life.
