Call for Reviewers

Introduction

The biannual European Congress of Psychology is slated to convene 7–10 September 2027 in Belgrade, Serbia. This 20th Congress, organized by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA) and hosted by the Serbian Psychological Society, aspires to give platform to cutting-edge research that tackles the various challenges posed by recent developments in technology, society and global politics, all from the vantage point of the psychological and related sciences.

Given the eminence and impact of the ECP, the organizers of the ECP 2027 are seeking experienced and dedicated reviewers to evaluate submitted abstracts.

We hope that ECP 2027 will prove to be an exciting and illuminating conference, with ambitious, theoretically robust and methodologically rigorous contributions, representing a veritable cross-section of contemporary psychological research. As the quality of the Congress’s programme is contingent on the expertise and commitment of the reviewers, the ECP 2027 Scientific Committee invites you to consider serving as an abstract reviewer. Eligibility for Reviewers

Every interested individual who fulfills the following criteria will be duly considered for the position of abstract reviewer:



Possesses or is currently studying for a PhD or equivalent in psychology or a related discipline.



Has experience in academic publishing and/or reviewing.



Demonstrates expertise in any of the thematic tracks listed below.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers will be asked to keep in mind the following responsibilities, while participating in the review process:

Abstracts assigned in the rolling review process should be reviewed between December and April 2027.

Manuscripts are to be treated as confidential documents.

Each review should be accompanied by a review comment.

The reviews should be returned within two weeks.

Review Process

Reviews will be carried using the online conference paper submission system on a rolling basis. Reviewers will be requested to return their reviews within two weeks. Review Criteria

Reviewers will be required to assess abstracts based on the following elements:

Clarity of formulation and conceptualization The abstract should clearly articulate the research question and theoretical framework.

Originality The submission should present novel ideas or approaches.

Adequacy of methods The research methods should be appropriate and robust.

Appropriateness of interpretations The conclusions should logically follow from the data and analysis.

Fit with conference theme The abstract should align with the overarching theme of the conference.

Quality of writing The submission should be well-written and free of errors.

Contribution to the field The work should offer significant theoretical and/or practical insights.
