Welcome from SPS President

Tamara Džamonja Ignjatović

President of Serbian Psychological Society

Dear Colleagues,

It is a tremendous honor for the Serbian Psychological Society to host this jubilee Congress in collaboration with the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA). We see this as a valuable opportunity to create a shared space for exchanging knowledge, fostering dialogue, and strengthening professional connections across Europe and beyond.
We are living in a time of rapid technological advancement, while simultaneously facing profound challenges to our shared humanity. In response to these developments, the theme of the Congress is “Psychology: Responding to the Challenges of Technology and Humanity.” As psychologists, it is our responsibility to understand these transformations from a scientific and ethical perspective, to safeguard human values, and to contribute—through our research, practice, and collaboration—to a humane and democratic society. By connecting locally, regionally, and globally, we can work together toward this important goal.
Belgrade, known for its hospitality and rich, dynamic history, stands at the crossroads of cultures, ideas, and experiences. It is a fitting place to take this step together—toward building a better and more compassionate future.
On behalf of the Serbian Psychological Society, I warmly invite you to join us and contribute to this shared vision.
We look forward to welcoming you to ECP 2027 in Belgrade.
